StoneCrabs Theatre has been running Young Actors since 2005. The level of local commitment to the project has increased tenfold, as the beneficiaries expand beyond the direct participants of the project to the families, schools and local wards, amongst others.
StoneCrabs Theatre Young Actors is a programme of practical work, tutorials and one-to-one mentoring towards developing drama skills and exploring literacy and writing through drama. The sessions are delivered on a weekly basis (following a carefully devised plan and schedule) with sharing and public performances scheduled for assembly times and half-term breaks. There are two age groups: Juniors (8-12 year olds) and Seniors (13-18 year olds).
